So for Ellinor's Joy School Opening Social we went to Danes Farm(Petting Zoo) They learned about the animals and then they got to feed them...a great time was had by all..Gwyn even got to feed a horse..and got her first horse bite! No worries it was just a graze!

Gwyn was just going to town bubbles everywhere ...then no car wash is complete with out a little water fight. Or better said the hose in the hands of a 3 year old! (She looks wet but you should have seen me)

So to end the day in real style...and to see our Daddy to tell him all about the first day we grabbed our dad during his hour break and went to the park for a pizza picnic!

After our lunch party we had a work pool party and Dan and the girls got some good swiming in.
It was a perfect day to be outside.
O.K. so Abbi starts school on Monday...not half day full day kindergarten...I'm not ready for this day to come and I'm feeling a little old! So for her last day of "Freedom" I asked her what she wanted to do...Her list was as follows

The girls had to try on daddy's hats which made for a perfect picture taking opportunity!

It is always a special treat to visit Daddy at work...especially when he is on call, it breaks up the days so much better, the girls miss him even when he's only gone 2days. Thanks for all your hard work Dan you're the best!
(shoot I miss him even when he's only gone for 12 hours!)
So we are about to head over the Mississippi river to Illinois and we have each placed a guess as to whether the bridge will be opened or closed ...Elli and mommy guessed open, Daddy and Abbi guessed closed...just as we arrive on the bridge the siren sounds and we are one car away from making it across...so we got stuck on the bridge on our way to the temple! The girls loved it because they got to leave their car seats and watch the big barge go through the bridge!
After the temple we headed to West Point IA for the annual corn festival ! We missed our usual group of friends...as we ventured their alone for the first time! The corn was great as well as the Hot Wheel races!
Abbi was having a hard time because of her missing tooth and her other loose tooth, but she managed to eat her fair share!

So we have also been doing some Test runs for kindergarten... we have to be out of the house by 8am to walk to kindergarten(Abbi rides her bike) and be there by 8:20... Abbi is so excited...I on the other hand don't know if I'm ready to give her up, or give up more sleep to get myself and everyone else up, and ready to be seen in public. Actually I'm excited for her she can't wait for school to start!
