Kindergarten Field Trip!

Abbi's first Kindergarten Field Trip to Wilson's Orchard!
The Bus was such an Exciting Adventure! We had little buddy groups of 4 (I was in charge of one) Abbi got her first tractor ride at Wilson's, some delicious apple sampling, a few games, then we headed back to school for guest reader. Abbi had a "Fabulous" time on her first kindergarten field trip... and I had fun hanging out with Abbi and her friends!

Wilsons Apple Orchard...It's that time again!

We picked the perfect day to take a picnic-apple picking trip to Wilson's Orchard.
We had a blast eating apples, picking apples, and messing around. The
Honey Crisp are on so we got a few and took lots of pictures.
(I was recalling that last year we took this trip the week Gwyn was suppossed to be born
but wasn't here yet...I was waddling around the orchard 9+months pregnant.
Glad that wasn't me today!)
We did see some ripe pumpkins...and the girls were so excited they wanted a picture
next to the orange pumpkin...just getting in the mood for the spooky month!
Wish you all could have come pick apples with us =)

Olympic Training...Primary Style!

So for the ward primary activity we had a mini Olympics! It was so fun...
When you arrived you were divided into Olympic teams and your teams all
had coaches(I was a coach) you made your team flag while everyone was arriving.
(pictured above Elli and friend Savanah)
Once the games began you rotated through different events with your team events including...
Warm up
Jumping
Weight training
Obstacle course
running
Abbi invited a friend from school Dilan
his sister Halie came too!
Our team displaying our lovely flag.
Since Daddy was working...Gwyn got to sport her
athletic ability too.
They even had an awards ceremony we all got gold medals and our picture taken!

What a fun activity!

Thanks primary women for all your hard work!

This is a demo of my teams push ups! Loved it =o)

I thought the effort here was great and Hilarious!

A Day I would not like to Repeat...any time soon

(this was our last thursday...I know I'm slow) So we woke up to rain...always exciting now that we all have to take Abbi to Kindergarten. A kind friend called and offered to take Abbi so I said sure thinking wow I'll get so much done this morning...about 30 min after Abbi left as I was washing the dishes....I heard a loud crash and crying by dear sweet Elli when I ran to investigate I saw our front window crashed in, glass everywhere, and Elli looking bewildered...

So Naturally after hugging Elli I send her to get the garbage while I try to keep Gwyn away from the broken glass...after noticing the blood trail she was leaving with her foot I made her lie down so I could check it out.
Now the screams begin to erupt... I attempt to remove the largest glass chunks I can see but between the kicking and screaming and Gwyn trying to help me I couldn't get to far...so I paged the papa with the predetermined emergency signal...and of course he has just gone into surgery so his nurse called me. The first thing he said was "those.beep...kids" I wasn't quite sure how to respond and in my panic (that is wasn't Dan I was talking to) tried to relay what I called for. Well we ended up going into the hospital to see dad. He numbed her foot and took out the glass then taped it up. (after Elli telling dad she had to go the the bathroom and being put off we had an accident in the chair, which of course i have no backups for) So around 10:40ish we head home. Abbi had trauma at school...then Elli and Gwyn sacked out while watching Dora

Gwyn had her 1 yr. check and of course amidst all the craziness Doc. apt, early day for Abbi, Morning visit to Daddy for Elli...I'm telling myself no prob. I can do this...well at 2:05 when one min. earlier I realized Abbi's school was out at 1:55 and Gwyn's apt is at 2:15, and both Elli and Gwyn are still sleeping, the phone rings and it is the school..."its early day and your child is waiting out front for you" I knew that but I seem to not be functioning correctly today...rush rush
Well to make a long crazy day short we survived I won't continue in the crazy details...the gospel is true and we are alive to tell the tail...let's just hope we don't get a repeat for a week or two =O)
