Just Because

Up On the Roof...

So Saturday after going to the Nauvoo temple we got home in time to muck out the Rain Gutters before it got to dark. Daddy and Abbi got up on the roof and braved the cold. After all was done we let Elli get on the roof to check it out. Gwyn was slightly put out that everyone but her got to go up. What Excitement...We're really living it up here in Iowa! (The things you never have to think about when you are renting an apartment!)

The Little Happenings of Life

Prior to motherhood I never imagined the absolute difficulty of taking a shower...with 2-3 children hanging out. So Friday I put on a little video in hopes I could get a 5 min. shower and when I came out it was a little too quiet...I found Elli and Abbi glued to the TV and Gwyn licking up the kitchen floor, after having pulled the bowl of ramen down that was supposed to be Abbi's after school snack!

Elli is our little princess and so sweetly dresses up daily this has been the favorite outfit the past few days!

Gwyn the busy body is constantly raiding something...that I don't want to be raided!

So Abbi really wanted to learn how to jump rope...here is one of her first attempts...don't worry she got really good by the end of her learning session

Joy School Field Trip

So we had a fun little field trip to the Natural History Museum...each child got a clip board to go on a scavenger hunt finding the animals on their papers...we had a great time!

So my sister commented on my last post that the picture I put of Dan didn't do him justice...so I'm doing him Justice...I did refrain from doing a whole collage of just him...I think he's pretty Hot!

Yes this is the fam. on my 31st birthday...I know I don't look a day over 20=0) So after the fabulous dinner Dan made himself for me we sat around the table and told each other what we would get each other if we had all the money in the world... Dan would get me a camera, Abbi a years supply of swimming suites (I asked why she said because you don't have any mommy), Elli would graciously get me a beautiful princess dress with matching crown, shoes and necklace!

Does it get better than this?

This morning for one of our pre-church activities the girls got dressed up and told the story of Baby Jesus...Elli is Mary of course with a baby rolled up in her dress and Abbi Joseph the horse is acting as a donkey=)

So this is what Elli went to bed looking like last night! She had to wear her "princess" dress on top of her pajamas with her mismatched shoes and beautiful necklace (we took the necklace off before she fell asleep!) She requested "qulers" aka curlers for her beautiful hair...it just doesn't get better than this!

My Sister Came for a visit...Horray!

So my sister braved a 5 hr. drive with her almost 3 yr. old and her 7 1/2 month pregnant belly to come spend a few days with me! It was so much fun.
The cousins had sleep overs in the hall...

Heat vent feet warming party's...playing all day together

We went to the Museum of Natural History together...had a pizza cinnamon roll party

and got lots of projects done after the children went to bed! It was fun to have family here...

Raking leaves in our Back Yard!

What fun we had raking huge piles of leaves from our huge tree in the back yard and jumping in them. Today we are thankful for Rakes and lawn mowers...and Daddys who come home to the rescue!

House Guests!

All 6 girls started out in our girls room...needless to say only 3 ended up actually sleeping there...Sarah Claire and Maryanna ended up in the guest room.

So we had our very first house guests -The Hintz Family -this weekend...and we got to use our guest bedroom! It was so fun to have our friends come and stay with us. The girls all got along well and just played to their hearts content. We miss our dental school buddy's...it was so good to hang out ,eat, play games and laugh together. Thanks for coming and staying with us!

School Fun

So Elli had a little Halloween party for Joy school, she sang songs and played games.

Abbi also had a great Halloween party with her friends, I got to help at the craft table.

HALLOWEEN

So this year Abbi wanted to be a Pirate, Elli a Beautiful butterfly, and Gwyn well she got the famous 3rd generation Purple dragon costume...which we love (thanks Kristina). Daddy was on call but ended up coming home for part of the trick-or-treating! That was a treat for me!
