Devonian Fossil Gorge

We had a little pamphlet I ordered in the Mail and we tried to identify the different fossils it was so much fun, the girls loved it. We also had to check out all the little tad poles...next time we'll take an ice cream bucket and nets!

The girls were in heaven they could run all over the stone and hunt and explore any child's dream!

After fun at the Gorge we found the greatest little picnic spot with a play ground pretty much to our selves! So after some delicious PB &J we played and this little contraption was the favorite everyone had to try it!

Up on the Roof

The joys of having a home...cleaning out the gutters. I wish I had gotten a picture of what they looked like but we had gutters full of growing maple trees, and the funny thing is they were not growing in dirt. Of course there is nothing like a little otter pop break to cool you off! Side note: We found a really cool green inch worm in the grass so we had some side entertainment!

Summer Fun!

Who can resist a back yard pool and a few surprise water balloons on a hot summer day!

Our little butterflies!

So we have been having so much fun watching the caterpillar's eat their way big! It was so exciting to witness the "coming out" and the filling of their wings...Naming them was the best we had to alternate Elli, Abbi, Elli, Abbi then Gwyn. (we had 5) So their names were as follows: Rapunzel, Prince Eric, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Eric. After a couple of days of feeding them sugar water which Gwyn loved to drink! We let them go. What a great educational summer occupier!
