Elli's Graduation from Preschool!

Elli had her little preschool graduation party where she was made Queen of the Alphabet by Johnny's daddy because her Daddy was in bed with a temp of 104.  What a fun year of preschool here is the crew Elli and 5 boys... Ben, Robert, Johnny, Drake and Ryan.  It was so fun to teach her this year she has learned a lot and is super excited to go to Kindergarten.

I already have!

So I thought it only appropriate that this wonderful pair of flip flops get a post since they've been in the family as long as Abbi. There was a tragedy while giving Gwyn an underdog at the park I was tripped by a root growing right under the swing and it broke my most favorite sandals...don't worry I was not injured in the process just my shoe. I've tried hot glue, staples, tape, even sewing and well nothing holds. So farewell my most favorite friends I'll miss you...until I  can find something to replace you with (if that is possible so many memories, all the way back to my mission where I purchased a pair of shoes that looked just like these although the quality was quite a bit worse!) So if you see a pair of Rainbow flip flops give me a shout I'm on the look out!

Our Weekend Get Away!!! Or Something

So for Dan's last weekend of "Freedom" (before starting Neurosurg) we decided to get a hotel go to Nauvoo and Carthage. Now mind you this is only the second time we have gotten a hotel to go to Nauvoo in the 6 years we have lived here so this is pretty special! So we book the hotel Thursday night. Dan wakes up Friday feeling sick works all day we get him and head to Nauvoo...He was brave took some meds and put on a smile. We swam at the Hotel (truly the only reason for staying :) We got to bed late but I was up at 5:45  feeding the baby and getting ready to go to the temple. Dan comes in with a raging fever and looks quite sick but tells me to go and he'll be ok. I hurry off and return as soon as I can.  He bucks up again and we head to Carthage. The girls loved it and we all felt the spirit. By the time we got home poor Dan was down for the count. We ended up in the ER on Sunday and you'll never guess...Strep Throat. I wonder who will be next?

We love living so close to these amazing sites! We have a spare couch in the basement if you want to come stay and see the sites with us!!

So I planted the GARDEN!!

I planted the garden friday may 28 and here it is 5 days later pretty amazing eh!

Random Wall Hangings and ...

Very important notes! So this just must be documented...Abbi is so hilarious she loves making posters and hanging them all over the house these are a sampling from this past month. She made us an FHE reminder and has erased and changed the names in the blanks as they have changed.  She also created a show with Vivian the acrobat we even got individual programs with each of the tricks listed that would be preformed. The last is a Note written to Dan when he fell asleep while reading the girls a bedtime story. He says he must have drifted off and next thing he knows Abbi is waking him up to give him this note. So Cute!

We're Missing you~

So the other day Abbi got a tear in her eye because one of her best friends moved away...funny thing they only knew each other from January-May but what great friends they became (they were twins on twin day at school, they played a mean game of Soccer or basket ball together, they loved playing Wii, heck anything they played together was fun!) not to mention his little sister Malia and amazing mother. We're missing you all!

All Dressed Up

So our little Gwyneth loves to get dressed up...This little selection was worn all in a matter of about a 30 min. time period this afternoon. When she puts on something sleeveless she has to tell me " this is immodest right!" I say right .
I have a mind to sew sleeves in every dress just so she can feel modest while playing dress up (because you know it's not cool to wear your "regular" clothes while playing dress up). **Special note that the Ruby Red Slippers were the undisputed choice of the day

Sickie

Poor little Elli has been Quite sick. Fever, Barfing, No Appetite, Sore Throat...So as you can imagine she has been the Queen of the House for the past few days. Movies, otter pops, PJ's all day. You name it she has probably got to do it (OK not really but I'm sure I'd be a beloved mother if I really did let her eat 100 otter pops!)

Old McDonald Had a Farm

So for a little joy school field trip we went to Old McDonald's farm...the girls had such a great time. It was such a

great little "zoo"  The girls could not talk enough about how much fun we had. Of course my camera batteries died after the first picture so just know we had a wonderful time together. We saw chickens, geese, prairie dogs, pigs, goats,baby cows, a donkey,sheep, rabbits and lots of ducks. After such a fun time looking at the animals we had a picnic with our friends and played on a playground. Our friends Love and Lea joined us so fun.

The little things

I'm just trying to document the little things...Abbi, Elli, and Vivian went out to play in the yard while I was making dinner.  Little Vivian just couldn't resist staring out the window at her sisters.  Every time she heard a little yell or squeal of delight she had such a cute smile on her face.

The joys of a box

So Elli Gwyn Vivian and I went to Kalona for a get away and we always return with boxes...I never tire to see what can be created out of boxes today a home for animals was made they each have their own pair of princess shoes. So hilarious. We had to take a picture to show dad he was on call.  And we can't get enough of Vivian's little smile. She is so fun to watch change and grow. It seems only yesterday she was coming home from the hospital.

Daily trying to find joy and happiness amidst this crazy thing called parenthood...and loving every minute of it.

So My Sweet Elli brought this home from Joy School...the unfortunate thing is the part about the Laundry is true!

Good Times...

Yes these pictures were taken on the same day...notice two different  swimming suites on Gwyn.  I had to take a picture of the girls all ret to go swimming I especially loved Elli's added touches the heels look great don't ya think! The picture of Gwyn and Vivian was requested by Gwyn she wanted to hold Vivian Naked and then wanted a picture of it. The girls are best of friends it is so great to see how their friendships are developing.

Saturday...all day... Fun!

Our old play set has gone the way of the world and a new one is being built... by our amazing papa. We started at 9 am and we stopped around 11:30 pm and we still weren't finished!  Future finished play set to be revealed!

Cinco De Mayo

For the Cinco De Mayo we had to celebrate since everyone thinks I am Hispanic... the girls helped me make a "Taco" pinata..We had some Cafe Rio for dinner and lots of candy for desert!

The Frog and the Pirate Prince

So we got all dressed up and acted out our version of the Frog and the Princess.

We didn't get to video it but it was pretty darn hilarious.

Sabbath Day Fun

Sunday morning Dan on call for the second day in a row on a new rotation I had left the Sunday dress up box out  and next thing I know my girls came into my room as I was getting ready all dressed up as so. It was hilarious. You gotta love the Abbi beard, looks good on her eh!

Sweet Gwyn

So Gwyneth is potty training and after a full day of success I let her go by herself...rushing to get us all to the ward party I let her do her thing and when I sent Dan in to get her he  found this! I know  nudity but  it was so cute.
